EQ-i coming soon to ACER customers

  Understanding the (emotional) intelligence of effective leaders

Two of the main topics of enquiry from ACER HR customers relate to improving management capability and emotional intelligence (EQ). Customers are also interested in how these two areas are connected. The Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL), one of the world’s leading leadership groups, produced a research paper that explores these two key areas in an easy to understand way. The research involved 302 managers and revealed connections including:

  • EQ and management style;
  • EQ and ability to put people at ease;
  • EQ and leader self-awareness;
  • EQ and capacity to confront problem employees;
  • EQ and ability to build and mend relationships; and
  • EQ and change management skills.
The CCL research was conducted using the highly regarded EQ-i to measure managers’ emotional intelligence.
