ACER Press continues Christmas tradition

As is our tradition at ACER Press, instead of sending Christmas cards we give books to under resourced schools in Australia generally, but in this case we have chosen two schools in Fiji.

ACER Press has donated classroom sets of the Action Literacy and Numeracy Series and sets of the What Teachers Need to Know Series to the Viwa Island School, which is on Viwa Island in the Yasawa Group of islands that run in a string off the west coast of Fiji’s main island Viti Levu.

This is a Prep to Year 8 school which has 70 students of all ages from the three villages on the school. The staff are passionate and committed and the children love to go to school but there is a desperate lack of material, books and other resources.

We are also sending books to the tiny Catholic Mission School on Vuaki Island, also in the Yasawa Group.
